Large FIle Transfer - Testing
Testing Parameters:- 6 files all roughly 700Mb files
- Two PC's
- One Network Switch
The testing parameters straight copy and paste from local PC to Remote PC.
All LAN connections are local and utilizing the same files to perform all transfers.
Starting worst to best:
100 FULL Duplex
100 HALF Duplex
AUTO
Carlin and his wisdom!
Recently I grabbed all of George Carlin's stuff from Zune Marketplace. Really astounding to be able to download and listen to someone's life work. And having always been a fan of Carlin I was please to hear during one of his rambling ranting raves that he mentioned something that seemed like something research and distract my mind from my current task at hand. Here it is:10 things we don't know?
How and where do we start, what questions should I be asking and what and where should I gather this information.
Google Search Results in 232,000,000.
Yahoo Search Results in 300,000,000.
Live Search Results 130,000,000.
So to do something like this it would seem to focus on areas specific areas. Life, Environment, Science, Technology. Just something to keep in mind.

LINKSaw this one on the NewEgg site and did some digging. Looks like a Roku box without a network port. What a mistake, they should have kept the network port. For that matter, Roku box should be able to do this same thing but no USB port.
This is really about the delivery of content. The fact that the one appliance device hasn't been built means there is still an opportunity for an all in one device. Hollywood listen up, the current license model isn't going to work now or in the future. We are seriously going to continue to stop paying for content more than once. Our consumption will drop in one area and raise in another. And in my humble opinion we are talking about a more direct way to market and to collect revenue.
